A new basketball docuseries is coming to Netflix in October titled Start 5It follows LeBron James, Jimmy’s Butler, Anthony Edward, Ask Sabonis AND My friend Jayson Tatum.
The series is from James’ Uninterrupted in partnership with the Obamas’ Higher Ground and Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions. It’s Netflix’s latest high-end sports series, and it’s launching in a few weeks.
Modeled after Quarterbacks, 5 starters offers an in-depth look behind the scenes at the 2023-24 NBA season through the eyes of five of the league’s greatest players.
It chronicles their struggles on and off the field as they pursue greatness, overcome injuries, and balance the demands of family and tradition.
Netflix has previously partnered with James’ Uninterrupted on sports shows including Feverish activity AND Neymar: the perfect chaos. Meanwhile, the Obamas’ Higher Ground is also preparing a series about the men’s Olympic basketball championship, which will launch next year.
Start 5 will arrive on Netflix on October 9th.
