The development belongs to Chinese scientists. According to the South China Morning Post, they have created a robot with an artificial human brain.

In their technology, they combined brain organoid tissue derived from human stem cells with a neural interface chip to power the robot, and now the researchers are teaching it to avoid obstacles and lift objects.
The development combines electrical signals from the brain with external computing power. According to Tianjin University President Ming Dong, it is the world’s first system of its kind, which could lead to the development of computations performed in the same way as a real brain and, in the future, the creation of hybrid human-robotic intelligence.
The choice of stem cells is due to their ability to develop into various types of tissue, including neural tissue. When transplanted into the brain, they can establish functional connections with the host brain. Now scientists are busy solving two main problems: low maturity of organoid development and insufficient nutrient supply.
