PRISON BREAK Reboot ordered for series on Hulu

Hulu has given the green light to reboot the series Evasion. The project was first reported to be in the works at Hulu in December 2024 with a pilot order.

The cast includes Emily Browning as Cassidy, Drake Rodger as Tommy, Luca Gage like Jackson, Clayton Cardenas as Michael alias “Ghost”, JR Bourne in the role of Junior, Georgie Flores like Andrea, and Myles Bullock as Darius aka “Red”.

As previously reported, the new show is set in the same world as the original series but will feature different characters and a new plot. The official plot states: “A former soldier turned correctional officer (Browning) takes a job in one of America’s deadliest prisons to prove how far he can go for someone he loves.”

Elgin James he is the writer, showrunner and executive producer of the series in addition to directing the pilot. Dawn Olmstead also serves as executive producer Evasion creator Paul Scheuring, Marty Adelstein and Neal Moritz.

Olmstead, Adelstein and Moritz were all executive producers on the original series. 20th Television, which produced the original show, is the studio.

I’m generally not a big fan of reboots, but I think it’s cool that this will be a new story with new characters. The prison setting has plenty of stories to tell, so this makes sense and is more intriguing than a simple rehash. Are you looking forward to the new series?
