The court has rejected Alec Baldwin’s attorneys’ fourth motion to dismiss his manslaughter case, Variety reports.

The defense insisted that the gun used to kill Galina Hutchins in 2021 could no longer be examined for malfunctions after it was severely damaged during the FBI experiment. However, the court found the claim frivolous and rejected the last petition that could have helped the actor. Baldwin will now go to trial in July.

Let us remind you that the tragedy occurred on October 21, 2021 on the set of the film “Rust”, in which Alec not only played the main role, but also produced. During a scene rehearsal, he fired a gun that was supposed to be loaded with blanks. As a result, cameraman Galina Hutchins and director Joel Souza were injured. The woman died in the hospital, the second victim was discharged the next day.
