Work has begun on the reboot of the TV series “Pimp My Ride”. Netflix undertook the development of the project called “Resurrection Cars”. Rapper Xzibit will be replaced by actor and comedian Chris Redd.

The program will consist of 8 episodes with a broadcast time of 40 minutes. It is stated that the executive producer of the series is Rick Hurwitz, one of the creators of the series “Pimp My Ride”, which aired on MTV between 2004 and 2007. In a chat with Variety, he called the new host “funny” and noted that he and his colleagues managed to rethink the original while taking into account modern realities.
