Hello to all fashion lovers! Your fashion editor is here. There are so many trends and brands in my world that I decided to keep an online journal where I would note the most important things in the industry. And although such diaries are often called personal, mine is open to all readers – so you will be aware of the most interesting things.

The past week has been particularly rich in high-profile news events. How could it be otherwise when the long-awaited fashion month begins? Over the past few days, we witnessed another activist take to the stage at the Coach show and watched in awe at Thom Browne’s fantastic show inspired by Edgar Allan Poe’s poem “The Raven”. And you shouldn’t forget Valentine’s Day. This Thursday, we saw the new cover of Harper’s Bazaar Kazakhstan, where the queen of the ugly Julia Fox appears in a “punk valentine” form. But that’s not all. Ahead of Sean McGirr’s first collection for Alexander McQueen, the fashion house has updated its logo. More precisely, Lee went back to what Alexander McQueen came up with.

There were really many interesting events this week, so I suggest you take a short digital journey with me into the latest news from the world of fashion and learn a little more about our domestic brands, advertising campaigns and collections. Shall we begin?

In February, it is customary not only to talk, but also to write about your feelings. Every year, lovers send each other touching letters and cards to send Valentine’s Day messages. Writers and poets are no exception. Vladimir Mayakovsky, Anton Pavlovich Chekhov and Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin sent incredibly touching letters to their wives and lovers that can be re-read endlessly.

Last Friday, the Age of Innocence brand gathered friends of the brand for an intimate, romantic 5 o’clock tea at the French restaurant Grande on Ostozhenka; Meanwhile, the actor of the Workshop theater PN Fomenko” Ambartsum Kabanyan read several love letters from great people in history. Elegant table set design, burning candles, cocktails with kisses, a glamorous cake and the pastry chef’s most delicious desserts created a romantic atmosphere.

February is slowly but surely ending, which means it’s time to think about the beginning of the warm season and update your wardrobe. And the Russian brand All We Need, which recently presented its spring collection, promises to help in this matter. The brand’s design team used fabrics that remind us of the lightness and freshness of hot days. By playing with contrasts, combining warm wool with fluid silk, they offer combinations designed to provide a touch of freshness and energy during long periods of cold weather.

Combining wide, voluminous coats with feminine dresses, the team decides to play with different forms. The palette reflects nature’s changes: from gray and chocolate tones reminiscent of the last days of winter, to bright lime accents symbolizing the approach of spring. These color combinations create a harmonious contrast and mood for the upcoming season.

What do you associate with tweed? With the legendary Coco Chanel or with the Old Money aesthetic? Whatever the association, tweed is coming back into style. The other day, Russian brand Present&Simple presented a collection actually coded Tweed. And there’s an incredible balance of vulnerability and strength within him. The limited edition capsule features a variety of tweed types. Made from 100% cotton, summer tweed is a soft, breathable material with a texture reminiscent of classic wool. As well as knitted tweeds, for the creation of which the design team invented a unique weave that imitates the famous knit. Knitted tweeds turned into cardigans, skirts and strappy mini dresses in subtle tones.

By the way, on many products capsule buttons serve as costume jewelry, so the Present&Simple team chose the best in their business – a family Italian factory from the Lombardy region, which they met at the Milan Unica exhibition. Tweed Indeed’s buttons are designed specifically for the brand.

Have you started counting down to spring yet? Then you will definitely like this news. Russian brand Emka expanded its spring collection with trendy new products. Now you can renew your wardrobe with shirts and blouses with accent details, knitwear with the Old Money spirit, trendy cardigans and tracksuits. Outerwear items such as coats, lightweight bomber jackets, vests and leather jackets have also been updated. Emka also has an accessories capsule: earrings, belts and chokers.

The hours before dawn are the most romantic hours of the day. That’s when the most intimate conversations happen and the most amazing things happen. Around it, the brand team decided to imagine this theme and presented a spring collection codenamed “Before Dawn”. “To paraphrase a famous song, I will say that the heart desires change. We wanted to add this to our collection, which will be released in drops throughout the season. Our deliberately grunge knitwear will be replaced by feminine bodysuits and light floral dresses in the next drop,” says Evgenia Kuzmina, founder of the circle.

The standout pieces of the range are a low loop sweater in a bright grass tone and faded jeans in an unusual blue-green hue. They can be combined with a formal jacket made of Italian wool and a voluminous “boyfriend hat”. Meanwhile, all products in the new collection are already available in the brand’s stores and website.
