Legends of Horror Douglas Jones (Hell boy) AND DeWallace (ET) have joined the cast of the upcoming horror film If it bleeds. The project is described as “an anthology-style crime thriller.” They join the previous cast Catherine Corcoran AND Justin Miles.
The film follows “Diane Winters (Catherine Corcoran) and his cameraman Simon (Justin Miles), as they uncover a mysterious series of gruesome murders that take place over the course of one chaotic and violent day. As events unfold, the two become protagonists of a sinister situation even more threatening than either of them could have imagined.
The film comes from Matthew Hersh who is making his directorial debut. The night of the missing director Samuel Gonzalez Jr. he will also direct a segment.
Hersh said in a statement: “To have so many genre greats believe in me and trust me with the story I wanted to tell with this film at such an early stage in my career was truly surreal. I thought what better way to dive into the horror genre except through the eyes of a field journalist who sees and faces the horrors of humanity unfolding before his very eyes.”
Corcoran added: “As a long-time supporter of independent filmmakers, I was thrilled when Matthew invited me to participate in this next phase of his creative journey. Diane’s story is universal in the sense that we all need to be seen and appreciated, and I can’t wait for the world to see how our incredible cast and crew will bring this theme to life.”
Jones said: “Playing an eccentric cosmetic surgeon was already a pleasure for me. But under the careful direction and witty writing of Mathew Hersh, that pleasure has been sweetened even more. Add to that the professional and efficient crew, the joy of acting alongside the thoughtful and hilarious Krsy Fox, and this filming experience was nearly perfect.
