The 66th Grammy Awards ceremony took place tonight (read about the winners here). The event was full of surprises, and perhaps the biggest one was the appearance of the terminally ill Celine Dion.

The star unexpectedly appeared on stage at the end of the ceremony to present the main category Album of the Year award. Of course, Celine received a standing ovation and was accompanied by the song The Power of Life. “When I say I’m happy to be here, I mean it from the bottom of my heart,” Dion said. Meanwhile, he presented the coveted statuette to Taylor Swift for her album Midnights.
Let’s remember that at the end of last year, Celine Dion was diagnosed with muscle stiffness syndrome, a rare incurable disease. “There are uncontrollable spasms. Do you know that people often wake up at night due to leg or calf cramps? Something similar but in all muscles. “There is little we can do to support him, to ease his pain,” his sister said about the singer’s condition. Celine recently announced that she will be shooting her own documentary.
