Figure of the day: Yandex sold to private investors for 475 billion rubles

Change is needed always and everywhere, even in large companies. So today Yandex employees received a letter about the restructuring of the company. We tell you what has changed.

Previously, the parent company of Yandex was the Dutch organization Yandex NV, but the time for change came and the organization sold the business for (attention) 475 billion rubles. The new holding will be the International Joint Stock Company (ICAO) “YANDEX”, a private and independent organization. However, the general director does not change, it remains Artem Savinovsky.

By the way, such changes are only for the better, because Yandex retains its important features.

• Yandex remains special company. This means that all achievements depend solely on their decisions;
• Promotion. There are no secrets, all the actions of the organization are open not only internally but also externally. If you are transparent, they will trust you;
• Independence. Yandex services are used by hundreds of millions of people in dozens of countries around the world. They have different views, habits, beliefs and lifestyles. However, the company managed to gain their trust because it was always impartial and independent;
• Own culture and free creative environment. At Yandex, everything has always been based on trust and transparency, openness and honesty, freedom of creativity and the ability to accept and forgive mistakes. After all, only in such an atmosphere can miracles be born. After reconstruction, everything remains in place. The proof is that none of the new owners will have full control over the company.

An innovation also appeared – “Fund Managers”. It will include several people from the current Yandex management team. They will receive their own “supervisory vote,” which are special rights that will apply both at the Board of Directors and shareholder level. They can be used when voting on specific issues.
