“Priscilla: Elvis and Me” director Sofia Coppola adapted the film from the autobiographical novel of Priscilla Presley, wife of rock ‘n’ roll star Elvis Presley, which will be released on January 25. In an interview with Snob, he explained why the legendary musician’s songs were not used as the soundtrack of the film.

“I knew we were unlikely to get permission, but I had other works in mind that reflected the musical tastes of people at that time and coincided with my personal ideas about the 1960s. “It was interesting for me to look for something new, to choose songs that Priscilla would like and that best reflected her feelings,” the director shared.

Meanwhile, her husband Thomas Mars, lead singer of the band Phoenix, helped write the classical score for Sofia’s film. It has been learned that in the fall of 2022, Jacob Elordi will star in a biopic about Elvis Presley’s wife. The actor played the role of a rock and roll star. Filming took place in Toronto.
