Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin declared a “covid amnesty” and said that citizens will not be charged fines during the coronavirus pandemic. In addition, subsidies will be paid to citizens and businesses to compensate for penalties already paid. The head of the capital announced this on his blog.
He noted that he took such a decision to reduce the pressure on citizens and businesses in connection with Western sanctions.
The amnesty goes into effect on 1 June 2022.
In mid-March, the mask regime and mandatory anti-COVID measures at enterprises were canceled in Moscow.
