A Russian fighter jet is shot down by one of Putin’s surface-to-air missiles

A Russian Su-25 has reportedly been shot down on its own side in a new friendly fire incident.

It is believed to have been shot down by a Russian Buk-M3 surface-to-air missile system.

According to the first euphoric Russian reports, a Ukrainian attack hit a Su-25.

But the commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, General Mykola Oleshchuk, insisted that it was a Russian plane shot down by its own side.

“I can say with certainty that it was not the Ukrainian air defense that shot down the Russian Su-25 fighter jet,” he said.

“It was a clear and coordinated action by the Russian anti-aircraft artillery, for which the entire Ukrainian people express their gratitude.”

It is believed to have been shot down by a Russian Buk-M3 surface-to-air missile system (see image).

Russian reports later claimed the plane crashed while flying low in low visibility.

According to reports, the incident took place near Yelyzavetivka in the Mykolaiv region.

The allegation of friendly fire follows another extraordinary recent incident in which footage showed a Russian Su-25 fighter jet nearly being shot down after sustaining fire from a Grad rocket launcher.

Miraculously, the plane was not hit in the dramatic scene.

In the latest known case, 45-year-old Major General Vladimir Zawadsky of Russia’s 14th Army Corps was killed by one of his own landmines after he was hit by friendly mortar fire while driving a military vehicle captured from the Ukrainians .

In a separate incident, a Russian Su-34 bomber was damaged in a kamikaze drone attack on a military airfield in the Rostov region, which borders Ukraine.

The video showed the drone attack on Morozovsk.

Russian and Ukrainian Telegram channels showed photos of the fighter jet of Vladimir Putin’s 559th Guards Bomber Regiment damaged by shrapnel.
