Oscar Winners Jessica Chastain and Peter Sarsgaard Cling Over to Under-Radar Film ‘Memory’ by Michel Franco from the Cannes Continuous; Partners include Theorema, High Frequency, Mubi, Match Factory, Screen Capital and ICM

Story details are kept secret, but the English-language project is said to revolve around a New York residence. Also starring Merritt Weaver (rascal), Josh Charles (Dead Poets Society), Elsie Fisher (First stepand Jessica Harper (sigh).

The project has the distinction of being Franco’s second American film since 2015. Chronic, and marks the fifth collaboration between filmmaker and cinematographer Yves Cape. The image, taken last Friday in New York, is complete.

Teorema, formerly Lucia Films, is a production company for Mexican director Franco and production partner Eréndira Núñez Larrios. The company created the last two functions of Franco.

Chile-based Screen Capital was founded and managed by former Chilean filmmaker Joey Zilberberg and former Chilean National Film Fund Executive Director Tatiana Emden.
