Hello to all fashion lovers! Your fashion editor is here. There are so many trends and brands in my world that I decided to keep an online journal where I would note the most important things in the industry. And although such diaries are often called personal, mine is open to all readers – so you will be aware of the most interesting things.
The fewer days left until the beginning of December, the more you want to eat tangerines and decorate the Christmas tree. Also prepare gifts, watch your favorite Christmas movies and drink cocoa with marshmallows. However, all these events can be postponed for a few more days and in the meantime you can learn about the most exciting events of the week. We have to start with Julia Fox and her shoots for Ssense. It appeared in the advertising campaign as a real New Year’s gift. However, this was not the only topic discussed in the fashion community. Jacob Elordi, who became the hero of the new issue of GQ magazine at the beginning of the week, attracted all the attention of internet users. And of course, we can’t help but mention the Balenciaga towel skirt, which costs almost 100 thousand rubles.
There were really many interesting events this week, so I suggest you take a short digital journey with me into the latest news from the world of fashion and learn a little more about our domestic brands, advertising campaigns and collections. Shall we begin?

We often see our favorite actors, musicians and, of course, models in the campaigns of Russian and foreign brands. But athletes are much less common. That is why we sincerely rejoice at every appearance of champions and champions in fashion shoots. So, this week the international brand O’STIN presented a new collection of winter clothing, the faces of which are Russian figure skaters and silver medalists of the 2022 Olympic Games Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov. In the shoot, they showed off the brand’s new collection and gave some good style tips to urban fashionistas. Take notes!

New places of power appear on Moscow’s fashion map almost every day. So this week, Rasida Lakoba, founder and creative director of Rasario and Rozie Corset, announced the launch of premium clothing brand Kóvik. By the way, the name refers to the designer’s grandfather. The heroes of the first advertising campaign were a real couple: filmmaker Irakli Rodonaya and model Krista Kober. The shooting took place in New York and the resulting images tell their love story.
“We have been planning this launch for five years, creating all the internal processes, and now we are truly ready to bring such a large-scale product to market,” says Rasida. The first Kóvik collection provides the ideal base for every day: Both women’s and men’s collections include shirts and T-shirts made of 100% cotton, cozy sweaters and jackets made of merino wool, and polos made of wool and silk. Special attention was paid to denim products and outerwear, including genuine leather, as quality and durability were emphasized.

“Style that speaks for itself” is an expression from the description of the Russian brand Say No More that most accurately reflects its concept. Designer Kristina Lisovets strives to interpret female beauty in a new way, inspired by visuals at the intersection of classical sculpture and contemporary art. And she really does this. Proof of this is the appearance of Russian actresses in the footage of Say No More. For example, last week Natalya Bardot, Sabina Akhmedova and Nino Ninidze shone on the red carpet in dresses from the brand.

If you think there is still time until New Year’s Eve, you are very wrong. Therefore, we recommend that you start preparing your image for the most magical night of the year. Moreover, Russian brands are already displaying stylish products from their New Year’s collections. So, this week the Present & Simple brand team presented a festive presentation. Designers decided to imagine what an intimate evening in Jacqueline Kennedy’s living room might look like, and were also inspired by the Bellini cocktail, which was often included in the menu of social evenings of Jackie and her sister Lee Radziwill.
The New Year’s capsule Present & Simple has two different aspects: bohemian silk and luxurious velvet. The first part of the collection included flowy pajamas, delicately lined dresses and mid-length silk dresses with decorative pleats on the shoulders. However, the latter features velvet dresses in deep black, A-line skirts, corset tops made of thick fabric and short jackets with accent buttons.

What do you associate St. Petersburg with? With gloomy but stately houses? Gray sky? Or maybe with the same buns on Bolshaya Konyushennaya? All these details of the city on the Neva inspire artists, writers and, of course, designers. So, recently the Russian brand Larissa Pogoretskaya found inspiration in St. Petersburg presented a collection of outerwear. Granite banks of the Neva, poetic blur and dozens of shades of gray – brand designer Alexandra Pogoretskaya decided to shoot immersed in the atmosphere of the Northern capital, imbued with restrained aesthetics and the spirit of aristocracy.
Sheepskin coats have been in the brand’s collections since 2014 and have quickly become iconic pieces of the fashion house. The collection includes reversible models with black and beige English collars, as well as a long version made of 100% premium sheepskin. The distinguishing feature of this model is its functionality: it can be worn on both sides. The side with silky fur is suitable for evening events, the other, made of leather, will be the basis of the laconic everyday look.

There is very little time left for winter to arrive, so we recommend that you start preparing as soon as possible. And if we have already told you about down jackets, we forgot about comfortable and practical overalls. Let’s get better! Moreover, the reason for this is quite convenient. Recently Russian brands Fluide and Charmstore released a limited edition discount for those who will spend the winter skiing in the mountains old-money style. The package includes clothes with the ideal fit for an active lifestyle: ski suit, thermal overalls and winter accessories (hat, snood and ski goggles). The main tones of the collection were contrasting white and black, as well as an elegant and at the same time bright accent in Charmstore’s signature pink.
