Now that the strikes have ended, political fundraising in Hollywood is expected to pick up again in the coming weeks.
President Joe Biden is scheduled to travel to Los Angeles for a fundraiser by the end of the year. It would be his first fundraiser in the area since announcing his re-election bid.
Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris will host an event in Los Angeles on November 20, with a long list of co-hosts and co-chairs. These include Cliff Gilbert-Lurie and Leslie Lurie, Skip Brittenham and Heather Thomas, John Emerson and Kimberly Marteau Emerson, Sam Fischer and Leah Fischer, Reginald Hudlin and Chrisette Hudlin, Allan Mutchnik and Nicole Mutchnik, and Michael Rotenberg and Shannon Mabrey Rotenberg An Invitation.
Harris will be joined at the reception by her husband, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff.
Tickets for the event start at $500 per person for young professionals and go up to $1,000 per person for the “Supporter” level. Those who write or raise $10,000 will be listed as co-hosts and have access to the photo line. Co-chairs are those who write or raise $25,000 per invitation, including a photo.
Proceeds will go to the Biden Victory Fund, with the money split between the Biden campaign, the Democratic National Committee and state committees.
Biden avoided Los Angeles during the labor strikes, but the campaign has continued to hold fundraisers in recent months with the likes of First Lady Jill Biden.
