It is not whole where is waldoBut Fran Drescher wants to know when the studio executives will come back to the table to strike a new three-year deal with SAG-AFTRA to end the guild’s nearly four-month strike.
“GIF! Let’s hope the CEO of Amptp turns up with a stamp on the deal counter!” the SAG-AFTRA president said online this morning.
The actors’ guild and the studios have been in negotiations anew since October 24. However, SAG-AFTRA says it has not heard from the AMPTP about its comprehensive counterproposal since Oct. 28, and the studios have not responded to the guild’s latest AI. proposal in the last two days.

As Deadline exclusively reported Thursday, there have been no formal talks between SAG-AFTRA and the AMPTP, as everything seemed to be “standby,” to quote the actors’ union — a fact Drescher highlighted in her Instagram post earlier Friday has:

“HOEs are involved and will continue to be involved,” a studio source told Deadline today in response to Drescher’s post.
The SAG-AFTRA boss’s use of social media has increasingly become a clear argument against the studios’ tactics.
Drescher took to Instagram on Nov. 1 and dismissed criticism of her SAG-AFTRA leadership skills in a scathing Instagram video, saying, “I’m getting ready for work right now and I want you to know that’s how I feel about being strong . . . , no anger, and I feel a sense of optimism, not negativity.”

Much of the discussion last week took place between SAG-AFTRA’s negotiating committee, national executive director and chief negotiator Duncan Crabtree-Ireland and AMPTP chief Carol Lombardini, as well as legal representatives from the studio. Studio executive Gang of Four — NBCUniversal’s Donna Langley, Warner Bros Discovery’s David Zaslav, Disney’s Bob Iger and Netflix’s Ted Sarandos — were not present as both sides discussed the finer details of the deal. We’re told studio executives are available on Zoom or in person if their presence is requested as talks continue today, the 113th day of the strike.
Deadline has been told that SAG-AFTRA and the studios are in good standing when it comes to streaming revenue sharing terms.
