She was famous in America for Instagram videos and posts showcasing her fortune. After the announcement of her “death” of her, Lil Tay gained several thousand subscribers … before declaring that she was alive and well. Zoom on one of the most mysterious cases of recent weeks.

Beyond America, many did not know her until her death was announced on Wednesday, August 9… which it finally was denied the next day.

Wednesday, a message announcing the death of the teenager and his brother was posted on his Instagram account, before being canceled 24 hours later :

“We have no words to describe our unbearable loss and indescribable suffering. During this time of immense grief, we ask for your privacy as we mourn this crushing loss, while the circumstances surrounding the deaths of Claire and her brother are still under investigation.”

Confusion and conflicting information

The confusion is total around this “false death”. Lil Tay reportedly told TMZ on Thursday (via a statement). her Instagram account had simply been hacked. She confided that she did ” broken heart “ after these “24 traumatic hours” where the whole world believed in his death. A version of events that has raised questions since Wednesday, according to the Variety media obtained confirmation of the teenager’s death from his manager.

As for the influencer’s father, he was contacted by Insiders but he refused to confirm or deny the information of his death. The uncertainty will therefore have been maintained for 24 hours when no one close to Lil Tay would have agreed on the same version of events.

Was Lil Tay really the victim of the hack, or is her death a set-up to give her fledgling career a boost? However, since the announcement of her death, her Instagram account has gained several thousand subscribers, reaching 3.5 million today…
