Close your eyes, smell the spray, listen to the song of the seagulls… Or is it the sound of the bagpipes? No, rest assured, your ears are not letting you down. We really are in Brittany, in Belle-île to be exact. When the weather is fine, this jewel of Morbihan offers turquoise waters worthy of the most paradisiacal archipelagos.

At first glance, one might think that this is a Cambodian temple. Yet this is not the case: this unusual monument is located in the Drôme, in Hauterives. Its architecture is at the pinnacle of its history. For 33 years, a postman named Ferdinand Cheval collected on his laps stones whose singular shapes attracted his attention. He accumulated them to compose his ideal palace, classified as a historical monument since 1969.

You will have understood it: it is possible to have fun without going to the other side of the world. Eco-friendly, economical and practical!
