Whichever olfactory family we belong to (rather woody, oriental, fruity or citrus), the point we all agree on is that the neck and décolleté are among the main places to perfume. But according to a beauty scientist, this gesture should in fact be avoided. But why ?
In a video posted on Instagram, Hanna Collingwood English explains it the perfume is photosensitizing, in particular due to the presence of alcohol in its formula. A feature that tends to promote burns but also to create a phenomenon of hyperpigmentation and skin sensitivity.

But then, where should you wear perfume?
Now that we know that it’s best not to perfume your neck and décolleté, where can you safely apply perfume? According to the scientist himself, the ideal place would be in the back of the neck, at the level of the hairline. Thus the skin is protected from the sun and according to her the perfume would also last much longer. An intelligent gesture, which however takes away a pinch of glamor from this ritual synonymous with well-being and, for some, with sensuality. What do you think ?
