A British tourist has died after being attacked by robbers on a mountain trail in Colombia.
The 34-year-old was allegedly hit in the head with a rifle butt by robbers who stole his belongings after walking to the Hill of Three Crosses in the city of Medellin.
The victim, known locally as Kyle Andrew MacKenzie, was found seriously injured at the foot of the mountain trail, where she was left by the robbers after being attacked.
He was discovered two days after his disappearance and taken to hospital in a critical condition before succumbing to his multiple injuries, including head wounds.
The victim was described locally as a Swedish-born man who held a British passport and lived and worked in the town of Ashford, Kent.

He would have been on a long vacation when he was killed. The victim had been in the town since January 21 and planned to stay for two months, reports El Combiano.
After the victim was discovered at the foot of the mountain trail, he was taken to a nearby health center before being taken to the Medellin General Hospital, where he died despite life-saving surgery on Wednesday just before noon local time.
He reportedly managed to tell medics that he had been attacked and robbed by three men who stole all his belongings before he lost his fight for life.
His body is now in the Medellín Institute of Forensic Medicine.
The Hill of Three Crosses, Cerro De Las Tres Cruces in Spanish, is a short but intense hike that offers breathtaking views of the city of Medellin.
In addition to three small crosses at the top, it has an outdoor gymnasium.
Holidaymakers who have done the same hike and posted comments online say they felt very safe climbing the route but warn against going late in the day when it gets dark and admit they have heard of people being robbed at night .
The robbery victim was described as the first foreigner killed in Medellin so far this year, following 10 murders of foreigners in the city last year.
No arrests have been made yet, although Police Commissioner Henry Yesid Bello is reported to have said that detectives have information pointing to the criminals believed to be responsible.
