Game Of Thrones star Natalie Dormer leads the South African thriller series White Lies

game of thrones Star Natalie Dormer is directing a thriller for the South African network M-Net.

Filming begins next month white lies, in the Dormer with Brendon Daniels (four corners) as investigative reporter Edie Hansen and detective Forty Bell, respectively. Located in the affluent Bishopscourt district of Cape Town, Hansen falls into the ugly underbelly that lies beneath the city’s natural beauty and is pulled back into a turbulent past. After her estranged brother’s murder in his opulent home, her world moves deeper into chaos when her teenage brother’s children become prime suspects in the crime while she fights with Bell.

Previously combined in the International Emmy Award-nominated M-Net drama Reykaproduces the South African indie Quizzical Pictures with Fremantle.

Dormer is a good idea. She is best known for her role as Margaery Tyrell in game of thrones and previous credits The Hunger Games, Picnic at Hanging Rock And Penny Dreadful: City of Angels.

“I’m excited to be in Cape Town and to start filming this beautiful, moving show,” she said. “South Africa has so much to offer an international audience through its stories.”

The show will be discussed at Fremantle’s London TV shows on Friday alongside a range of scripted projects, formats and docs.

Producers are Harriet Gavshon and Nimrod Geva for Quizzical Pictures, with Dormer and Bristow-Bovey also serving as executive producers.
