Produced by Gail Berman and the country’s top music executive Jason Owen, the project was announced in August 2020, with Naomi and Vinona Judd serving as executive producers for the first season that tells its story.

Many screenplays have been written. It’s unclear whether that will change following Jadi’s tragic death, I understand it’s possible.

The duo dominated country music in the 1980s and 1990s, winning numerous awards, selling over 20 million albums and creating a string of hits. Judd stopped working as a duo in 1991 after Naomi was diagnosed with hepatitis C. Winona’s successful solo career began. The duo would get together for private tours from time to time, most recently in 2010. They would begin their final tour together this fall.
The drama will focus on the glamorous drama and the dynamic relationship between the couple. They tell their stories through the music and songs that have shaped their careers and the country music genre.
Berman and Hand Bagdat is a co-production with Owen, CEO of The Jackal Group. Naomi and Winona Judy are producing the first season, while their managers Les Borsai, Greg Hill, Cactus Moser and Larry Strickland are producing. Fox Entertainment is a studio.
