American singer Madonna celebrated her 68th birthday alongside loved ones on the Greek island of Corfu, sharing video footage of her celebrations on social media.

The pop singer published a video to her personal Instagram account on Thursday, August 21, documenting her festivities aboard a luxury yacht where she danced with close companions and blew out a birthday cake.
The video clip also featured footage from her trip to Meteora, a dramatic rock formation in central Greece, which she visited several days prior to arriving on the Ionian island.
Celebrations in Kouramades village
Footage from Corfu showed the musician singing and dancing alongside a live orchestra in the picturesque village of Kouramades. While visiting a traditional mezedopoleio, she held a tambourine and sampled seasonal local dishes.
Writing in the caption accompanying her video post, she declared that it was her birthday and urged her followers to get up and dance.
Kouramades is a traditional village located on the island of Corfu in northwestern Greece. A mezedopoleio is a Greek tavern specializing in meze, small savory plates served alongside drinks and regional music.
Earlier holiday photos
A few days before publishing the video, the pop star had shared a series of photos from her stay on the island and her birthday party.
In the message alongside those photos, she noted that it was her birthday and told readers to eat, pray, love, drink, dance, smash plates, and feed cats, before expressing thanks to God.
