Former UK prison psychologist Amber-Renee Gale has admitted in court to having a sexual relationship with convicted murderer Ricarlo Williams. The 32-year-old was employed at HMP Swinfen Hall when the intimate relationship occurred between May 1 and November 30, 2024, according to the Daily Mail.
Prosecutors alleged that Gale smuggled a mobile phone and SIM card to the 24-year-old inmate, while also periodically delivering drugs to him behind bars. She was also accused of illegally accessing a work computer to gather details about other convicts.
Defense statements and background
Gale spent several years working in the prison system before founding a consulting firm. In court, her defense lawyer stated that her conduct had been flawless prior to these events, expressing hope that the jury would consider her past record.
Williams entered prison in 2022 after receiving a life sentence for killing a 23-year-old man in 2020.
