Scarlett Johansson has revealed the details of her health and beauty routine, explaining how she uses biohacking and specific supplements to manage her digestion and sleep.
The 41-year-old Oscar-nominated actress said she takes magnesium and vegan collagen daily alongside a simple skincare regimen to maintain a radiant complexion amid her busy schedule.

Johansson, who starred in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the superhero Black Widow, detailed her evening habits after removing her makeup in interviews conducted in October 2024.

"I take magnesium at night. It helps me sleep. I feel like it's good for recovery," she told The Zoe Report, adding: "It's good for your entire central nervous system."
Magnesium and vegan collagen
Speaking to the beauty publication Byrdie around the same time, Johansson explained the positive effects she notices from the supplement even when her sleep is disrupted.
"I know that everybody is taking magnesium now. It's so helpful," she said.
"It really makes a huge difference, especially in my digestion and my recovery, it's awesome," she added.

Magnesium is an essential mineral that supports muscle and nerve function, and is frequently used as a dietary supplement to aid sleep and muscle recovery.
The actress also takes vegan collagen before bed to encourage her hair to "grow thicker, faster and shinier." Collagen is a protein that provides structure to skin, hair and bones.
She began taking the collagen on the recommendation of a close friend, despite skepticism from her medical professional.
"I don't know. My dermatologist was like, 'It's everything you put on your skin, that's what counts. Anything you're taking internally, none of that is working,'" Johansson said.
"I'm like, 'I don't believe you. I'm going to try this out.'"

Johansson has previously spoken about feeling self-conscious early in her acting career because of harsh criticism regarding her appearance.
Daily skincare habits
For her face, Johansson relies on products from The Outset, the skincare brand she founded and launched in 2022.

She praised the brand for its "clean skin care standards" and its "healing, hydrating benefits."
"My night routine is pretty simple," she said, explaining that she washes her face with a micellar cleanser from her company.
"I don't wear a full face of makeup every day, [just] foundation and concealer, so I don't have a full face to wash off."
Following the cleanser, she applies hydration-boosting products including a serum and a moisturizer. She noted that "sometimes I'll put a couple of drops of boosting oil in there."
Her morning routine uses the same cleanser, serum and moisturizer, with the addition of an eye cream from The Outset.
She then applies light makeup consisting of concealer, mascara, "blush and a little eyeshadow, and that's it."
Motherhood and fitness
"Then I've got to run out the door. I've got two kids," Johansson said.
The actress shares a 12-year-old daughter, Rose, with her ex-husband, the French journalist Romain Dauriac. She also has a five-year-old son, Cosmo, with her current husband, the Saturday Night Live comedian Colin Jost.
"They've got to go to school," she added. "I don't always have time to put makeup on. Sometimes that's a step later in the day."
To maintain her physical health and toned physique, Johansson exercises "at least a few days a week," describing the workouts as "a very important part of my mental wellbeing."
"I love to do Pilates. I've been doing Pilates for about 10 years now, and I just love it," she said.
Pilates is a system of exercises designed to improve physical strength, flexibility and posture, often performed on specialized equipment.
"I find it to be challenging and also restorative. I feel like it gives me energy," she added.
"It's not energy consuming like some workouts that I've done, where you really need to recover. I don't have that lifestyle anymore," she explained. "I have to do exercise that is invigorating, and Pilates is that for me."
She incorporates deep stretching exercises on a Pilates reformer machine, which she said has been beneficial and "so good" for her "joint health and flexibility."
