Mario Casas, best known for his roles in Spanish feature films such as Palmeras en la nieve and Fuga de cerebros, is one of Spain's most prominent film actors. Cap Cana, situated near Punta Cana, is a popular destination renowned for its private coastlines and luxury accommodations.
Historic tours in Santo Domingo
In addition to their beach stay, the family travelled to Santo Domingo to explore the historic Ciudad Colonial. Wearing comfortable clothing suited for the island heat, they visited the cafeteria El Conde, located directly opposite Parque Colón, where Óscar and Sheila took the opportunity to dance together outside.
Their presence throughout the capital and resort areas did not go unnoticed by local Dominican fans. Followers recognized the siblings during their walks across the city and shared photographs of the family on social media.

This trip marks a return to the country for the Casas family, who previously holidayed together in Punta Cana in 2021. During that earlier visit, Spanish media reported on the siblings choosing the Dominican destination for a beach getaway.
Five years after their initial stay, the family returned in August 2026 with an itinerary combining coastal relaxation in Cap Cana with cultural sightseeing and local gastronomy in Santo Domingo. The trip adds Mario Casas to the growing list of Spanish public figures who have chosen the Dominican Republic for their Caribbean holidays.
