Actress Tamzin Outhwaite frolicked on stage at London's Harold Pinter Theatre on Monday as she transformed into character for a new West End production of Abigail's Party.
The 55-year-old former EastEnders star looked striking during the photocall in a bold yellow caped dress, smoking a cigarette and sipping from a glass of whiskey as she got into character as leading role Beverly.

Outhwaite wore a voluminous blonde curly wig and towering gold wedges for the appearance at the central London venue. She accessorised the retro ensemble with a silver necklace, large hoop earrings, and a vibrant makeup palette featuring a swipe of blue eye shadow.

The actress was seen entertaining guests alongside her on-stage husband Laurence, played by Kevin Bishop, inside their 1970s-themed home. The cast also features Pandora Colin as Sue, Omar Malik as Tony, and Lauren Patel as Angela.

Set in Essex in 1977, the classic suburban comedy centres on Beverly and Laurence as they host drinks for their neighbours while a teenage party next door provides the backdrop. The production is playing a limited West End season from August 12 to September 19, 2026.

Daily Fitness and Diet Routine
The West End appearance comes after Outhwaite, known for playing Mel Owen in EastEnders and starring in the drama series The Wives, recently detailed her daily diet and fitness regime after wowing fans with her bikini body.
Outhwaite explained that a typical day begins early when she wakes up at 6am. She skips breakfast in favour of coffee, noting: "It’s not something that I plan. I’m just not hungry in the morning, so I’m naturally somehow intermittently fasting."
By 9am, she attends either a zero-gravity Pilates session or a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) class. Following her workout, she spends 20 to 40 minutes meditating in her at-home sauna before taking her dogs for a walk.
After her morning activities, Outhwaite treats herself to a mid-morning cruffin, a croissant muffin hybrid. For lunch at 1pm, if she is not cooking at home, she visits her favourite pub, The Good Reader in Crouch End, where she is particularly fond of the pork belly.
For dinner, she prepares a salad served with meat. Explaining her dietary choices to The Telegraph, she said: "I’m trying to stay off bread and pasta because they make me sluggish."
When choosing a drink from her liquor cabinet after dinner, Outhwaite avoids wine in favour of spirits. "I’m trying to not drink wine at the moment. I love a glass of red but for me it’s always the cleaner the better," she shared.
She added: "It would be tequila and soda, because it’s the cleanest alcohol and apparently it’s the only alcohol that isn’t a depressant."
Non-Surgical Facelift and Skin Treatments
Alongside her fitness routine, Outhwaite recently underwent a £4,950 non-surgical facelift treatment to maintain her skin's appearance. In February, she shared before and after photographs after undergoing eight NeoGen nitrogen plasma facials over the course of a year.
The actress visited Dr Maryam McMillan at the Ambra Clinic in Finchley for the procedure after seeing the results achieved by Strictly Come Dancing head judge Shirley Ballas, who looked roughly 10 years younger after her own treatment.
Outhwaite spoke candidly about her decision, explaining that she wanted to address visible changes while remaining committed to avoiding cosmetic surgery or facial injectables.
"When I looked in the mirror and I just could see that my face just never looked as good as it used to. At my age I know it's hard to avoid this but I'd really started to notice the difference and it was getting me down a bit," Outhwaite said.
She added: "I'd also lost some weight and my face looked like it was sagging and dropping, so I decided to do some research on what could be done to improve things."
Emphasising the demands of her acting career, she noted the necessity of maintaining full facial movement. "I definitely didn't want to go under the knife. I didn't want any form of face-lift, and I'm extremely wary of having injectables because I'm an actor and I need to have an expressive face," she said.
"It's essential for me to have a natural look, not a frozen face, but I was still keen to find out alternative ways to improve my appearance and a friend advised me to give NeoGen a try," she continued. "After doing a bit of research, I could see that Shirley Ballas had got an amazing result with these treatments and now looks about 10 years younger, so I thought I'd give it a go."
NeoGen is a non-invasive procedure that uses super-heated nitrogen gas to stimulate skin rejuvenation. The controlled heating mechanism tricks the skin into producing higher quantities of collagen and elastin, the essential structural proteins that provide skin with elasticity and a youthful appearance.
Dr McMillan noted that the procedure fitted seamlessly around Outhwaite's professional commitments. "NeoGen was a good fit for Tamzin because her busy work schedule means she can't afford to have any down-time," Dr McMillan explained.
"She would often have filming and auditions which required her to look presentable just 24 hours after a treatment, and that is perfectly possible with NeoGen and so we managed to work around her many acting commitments," Dr McMillan added.
Describing the treatment process, Dr McMillan said: "NeoGen treatments are relatively pain-free but at each session we would apply a numbing cream for 40 minutes prior to the procedure so that there was no discomfort. The NeoGen treatment itself would take around 30 minutes, and would cover her neck, top of her chest, and her whole face including around the sensitive eye area."
Outhwaite asked Dr McMillan to focus specifically on areas she wanted to improve, including her jawline and the skin around her eyes. Evaluating her progress, the star of The Wives said: "After the first three treatments I could really see a major improvement, the general texture of the skin was improved, and where it had looked a bit dull and lifeless before it was now really radiant and more dewy."
