The Eksmo-AST group of companies, which includes Eksmo, AST, Bombora and other major publishing houses, announced a new format for the publication of foreign works – “summary” or “near-text retelling”.

“The summary will reflect the main ideas of the book without using quotes from the book: the author of the summary read the book in English and retell it in his own language,” said Eksmo CEO Evgeny Kapiev. He also said, “Like Smart Reading, we rely on the law of citation.” The first book to be released in this format will be Prince Harry’s memoirs. The premiere is scheduled for February 16.
