Bill Maher Claims Twitter Failed a ‘Real-Time’ Transaction in Big Elon Musk Sale

Elon Musk has agreed to buy Twitter. But no one can agree on what that means and what Bill Maher means on the HBO show. ᲠReal time I spent most of Friday jogging, trying to make sense of it.

Maher said in his monologue that Musk promised to get rid of bots on the social networking service. This apparently prompted Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, “Why are you doing this in person?

Maher noted that Musk is at least having fun with his next new toy. He previously wrote on Twitter that his next assignment would be to buy Coca-Cola and get back to the cocaine formula. “Sure, it’s all fun and play until Hunter Biden gets stuck in a vending machine,” Maher said angrily.

Later, as part of a panel discussion, Maher reposted on Twitter with MSNBC host Ali Wash and former Democratic Senator Doug Jones from Alabama.

Maher began by quoting the current CEO of Twitter, saying that “our role is not connected with the first change.” Maher said it was a dubious response.

Washi noted that it’s time for Twitter and Facebook to talk to themselves about whether their current actions are making our shattered democracy worse. However, Jones argued that “Russian bots do not have the privilege of first amendment.”

Mahir replied. He argued that it had not learned whether Twitter was the final judge of content in its desire to become a public forum. They achieved this dubious status by censoring the Hunter Biden and the Covid-19 lab stories. He cited a video in which the Babylonian Bee was cut from the ministry as an example of not the slightest satirical condemnation.

“Satire has always been like that,” Maher said of Bie’s work. “Flagging the flag shows a complete lack of judgment. You made a mistake. ”

Jones never bought her out, blaming “insensitivity, lies, fake news and violence” for the harsh approach.

“Twitter has become the space of the left. It happened suddenly, – Maher insisted.

“There’s a lot of right-wing nonsense,” replied Jones.

Maher later stressed that the standard for determining whether or not freedom of speech these days is crossing the line “for hurting my feelings”.
