Berlin Film Festival Adds Eight Titles to Berlinale Special Lineup, Including “Golda” Starring Helen Mirren and Camille Cottin

The Berlin Film Festival today announced eight titles that will be included in the Berlinale Special program. The new film series includes Gouda cheesewith Helen Mirren, Camille Cottin and Liev Schreiber.

Directed by Guy Nattiv from a screenplay by Nicholas Martin, the film follows the highly dramatic and high responsibilities and decisions faced by Golda Meir, the former Israeli Prime Minister, during the Yom Kippur War of 1973. Mirren plays Meir . Jane Hooks and Michael Kuhn are the producers in the picture. Embankment handles the sale.

Other titles added to the program are from Netflix kill boxes. Jeon Do-Yeon, who won Best Actress at Cannes in 2007 Secret sunshineStars in the picture, which follows a single mother and a famous hitman as they struggle to juggle their personal and professional lives.

Also selected is that of Andrea Di Stefano last night of love, with Pierfrancesco Favino, Linda Caridi, Antonio Gerardi and Francesco Di Leva. The film tells the story of a police lieutenant on the night before his retirement, who is called to investigate a crime scene where his best friend and longtime partner, Dino, has been killed in a diamond robbery.

Berlin also revealed the titles that are part of the forum section. The film selection includes the 1982 documentary by Dick Fontaine I heard a little feeler whistling, which was recently restored by the Harvard Film Archive. The documentary follows Fontaine on his journey through the southern United States with writer James Baldwin by his side.
