Goa has become the most affordable Asian beach getaway for Russian holidaymakers in early November, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia reported.

Travel packages to the coastal Indian resort now start from 139,600 rubles for two people. Industry figures compiled by the association show that the destination offers the lowest entry price among warm-weather overseas coastal retreats across Asia during the first two weeks of the month.
Several other popular Asian destinations also recorded price reductions for the same period. A beach holiday in Sri Lanka starts at 143,500 rubles for two travellers, while a trip to the Indonesian island of Bali begins at 156,800 rubles. Couples travelling to the Maldives can secure tour packages starting from 176,100 rubles, and getaways to the Philippine island of Boracay start at 207,400 rubles.
Price rises across competing holiday destinations
At the same time, the travel association identified destinations that recorded notable price increases over the same period. Jordan emerged among the costlier options, with holidays starting from 162,700 rubles for two people. The Langkawi archipelago in Malaysia followed closely behind, where package prices now begin at 176,800 rubles.
Higher-end island retreats in the Indian Ocean saw even steeper costs. Package tours to the Seychelles were priced from 254,300 rubles for two travellers, while holidays to Mauritius reached at least 263,100 rubles.
Goa travel appeal and seasonal weather
Goa, located on the south-western coast of India along the Arabian Sea, is India's smallest state by area but ranks among its most famous holiday destinations. A former Portuguese territory annexed by India in 1961, the coastal region is celebrated for its wide palm-fringed beaches, centuries-old churches, and relaxed atmosphere. November traditionally signals the start of the primary tourist season, as monsoon rains clear and dry, sunny weather sets in across the subcontinent.
The Association of Tour Operators of Russia, widely known by its Russian acronym ATOR, is a non-commercial trade association founded in 2007. The organisation brings together leading Russian tour companies and travel agencies that handle a major share of outbound and domestic tourism. It tracks airfares, hotel rates, and consumer preferences to assess shifts in holiday affordability.
Budget strategies for island resort holidays
For travellers looking to lower their holiday expenses on traditionally expensive routes, industry specialists previously highlighted ways to save on visits to the Maldives. Holidaymakers can reduce their travel bills by choosing flights with layovers instead of direct flights. In addition, booking accommodation in local guesthouses on inhabited islands rather than staying at luxury private island resorts offers substantial savings while still providing access to the tropical destination.
