Margaret Qualley joined her close friend Aubrey Plaza and Plaza's newborn baby for a walk in New York City on Sunday, weeks after news broke that Qualley had split from her husband, Jack Antonoff.
Qualley, 31, wore a breezy pink dress and Mary Jane flats while taking her dog for a walk alongside Plaza, 42. She pulled her brunette hair into a ponytail and wore sunglasses for the outing.
Plaza opted for a white T-shirt, striped shorts and white loafers, with her baby nestled in a chest carrier. The infant is the first child for Plaza and her boyfriend, Christopher Abbott, 40. Plaza, known for her role on The White Lotus, first confirmed her pregnancy in April.
A Friendship Forged On Screen
Qualley and Plaza grew close after starring opposite each other in the 2025 dark comedy Honey Don't! Qualley played Honey O'Donahue, a small-town lesbian private investigator who becomes entangled in a string of strange deaths, while Plaza played a police officer working alongside her.
Speaking about their real-life friendship in an interview with Cosmopolitan last year, Plaza said, "It's rare to do a movie and leave with a lifelong friend." She added, "Margaret has helped me get through some of the hardest times of my life. We have each other's backs. I'll defend her to the end."
Qualley was equally complimentary of Plaza in a 2025 interview with Out. "I don't know anyone that doesn't just love her, and I've loved her from afar for such a long time," she said. "Getting to work with her was such a dream."
Last year the pair had fans buzzing over a viral clip of them together at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. The appearance marked Plaza's first time on a red carpet since the death of her husband, Jeff Baena, who died by suicide in January at age 47. Qualley helped calm Plaza's nerves as they faced photographers together at the event in France, even getting a laugh out of her by playfully grabbing her rear end on the carpet.
Qualley's Split From Jack Antonoff
Qualley recently ditched her wedding ring as she made her first red carpet appearance since splitting from Antonoff, 42, at the world premiere of The Dog Stars in London on Thursday.
It was announced in July that Qualley had split from the music producer after nearly three years of marriage. The pair, who have an 11-year age gap, have not been publicly pictured together since the Grammy Awards on February 1, and their split came one month shy of their third wedding anniversary.
Qualley's representative told TMZ on July 10 that there was "no infidelity" and "no trust issues" behind the end of what was described as a "rocky" marriage to the Golden Globe-nominated songwriter. Antonoff raised eyebrows when he attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's July 3 wedding festivities with his sister, Rachel, rather than Qualley.
The pair may have still been together on March 31, when Qualley shared an Instagram story wishing Antonoff a happy birthday. She has since changed her Instagram handle back to her legal name, Sarah Margaret Qualley, and deleted photos she had shared in March from their wedding at Beach Haven in Antonoff's native New Jersey.
Before he began dating Qualley in the summer of 2021, Antonoff reportedly dated photographer Carlotta Kohl, Golden Globe winner Lena Dunham and two-time Oscar nominee Scarlett Johansson. Qualley has previously been romantically linked to her Death Note co-star Nat Wolff, SNL alum Pete Davidson and her Love Me Like You Hate Me co-star Shia LaBeouf.
