Spider-Man fans seem to be pretty excited about the upcoming animated film Spider-Man: Through the Spider-Verse. The latest trailer that was released was pretty awesome, and this movie seems to be a lot of fun!

The film follows a slightly older teenager Miles Morales as Spider-Man as he juggles the growing pains of teenage life and handling the responsibilities of “great power.”

In a recent interview with EW, producer Chris Miller she explained, ‘As he grows up, he’s trying to figure out how he can go out and see the world, spread his wings and leave the nest. But he also feels grounded in his home and family. It’s that push and pull of your teenage life, where are you like, how can i be my own person, but also not lose where i’m from?”

Then he’s “submerged in the multiverse where he joins forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-folk to take on a villain more powerful than anything they’ve ever encountered.” Once Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, he meets a team of Spider-People tasked with protecting his very existence. But when the heroes clash over how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

In the trailers that have been released for the film, we see Spider-Man fighting with Oscar Isaaccharacter of Miguel O’Hara, aka Spider-Man 2099, but he is not the villain of the story. Phil Lord and Chris Miller explain that Miguel and Miles have a lot in common, but don’t always agree, especially when it comes to the safety of the multiverse.

Miller said, “He’s not the villain of the movie, but he’s kind of an antagonist to Miles because they both think what they’re doing is the right thing.”

The real villain of the story is a character called Spot, who is voiced by Jason Schwartzmann. This character is capable of creating portals between different dimensions. He’s not really an A-list comic villain, but he’s an interesting character who Lord and Miller say is “a perfect character for animation,” with abilities “that allow him to bend reality almost like an old Wile cartoon.” E. Coyote”.

Lord says, “I like villains best when they reflect the hero’s journeys – sort of a dark mirror of the protagonist. And I think Spot is no different. He wants to be seen as legit. He’s a character who has a silly costume. And he’s not always seen as Spider-Man’s ultimate foe, but like all of us, he wants to be taken seriously.”

With all the madness going on in this movie, Lord and Miller keep pointing that out Through the Spider-Verse it’s Miles’ story, first and foremost. Lord said, “Even with all the mind-blowing parts, we always try to find ways to make them spin between characters. That’s the thing that everyone wants, which is so surprising to me. I never expected the star of [the first] movies to be people talking together in dramatic scenes. But that’s what people care about the most.”

Miller concluded, “Really, the hardest thing is making sure you have a story that you care about and are emotionally connected to. Without that, you have nothing.”

I’m quite confident that the creative team behind this movie will deliver another great Spider-Man story!
