In a recent interview with OhElizabeth Olsen and director Lesli Linka Glatter talked about their work on the recordings of this new HBO Max series and the latter explains that the plot does not focus on the crime of the ax murderer, but tries to go further, reaching towards the emotional field and the construction of the stories of the characters.

Regarding the development of the story, the director of ‘Love and Death’ says: “Here is a young woman who gets married at 20 and has done everything right: she has children, she has a family, but she has a hole in her psyche a mile wide and makes a bad decision about how to fill it,” though he also acknowledges that “it’s awful what happened,” making it clear that the story will be about the murder, even if it’s not the focus.
