DEADPOOL 3 director Shawn Levy makes fun of the violent violence and foul language

We’ve heard for a long time that Disney and Marvel Studios aren’t going to stop that Deadpool 3 from being rated R. The creative team shared how supportive the studios have been in letting them go nuts and do whatever they want and now the director Shawn Levi it’s rating R-rated content and teasing how violent and gross it’s going to be. During a recent interview with Collider, Levy had this to say:

“We’re writing, rewriting, developing, prepping ‘Deadpool’ every day now. It’s so much fun to laugh every day. It’s so delightful to listen and write and come up with these scenes where people talk shit. And the violence is in your face and hardcore, and it’s just a ‘Deadpool’ movie,”

It’s something I’m sure many fans will be happy to hear. Even though we were told time and time again that there would be no problem with an R rating, this is still Disney and you don’t know it! But Levy will definitely have fun! He went on to say that it was the funnest time he’s ever worked on a film project:

“And there’s Logan in it. And it contains Wolverine. It is too funny. I’m having so much fun and I haven’t gotten to the shooting plan yet. […] I have to say developing a “Deadpool” movie is one of the most enjoyable creative experiences of my life because it’s not just because it’s R-rated. It’s because it’s so full of self-awareness and that makes writing very, very fun in a way that’s unique to that franchise.”

I like what I’m hearing and it will be pretty wild to see Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool and Hugh JackmanTogether the Wolverines embark on a hardcore Marvel adventure filled with hardcore violence and bad humor. It wouldn’t be a real Deadpool movie without it!

Reynolds previously shared some information regarding a Deadpool and Wolverine storyline that was being planned before Disney bought Fox. “It was going to be a road trip between Deadpool and Logan. Rashmon style. For real.”

Deadpool 3 will be released on September 6, 2024!
