Sideshow has shared a new unboxing video shortly before the worldwide release of Hot Toys’ new Dr. Strange collectible figure. As seen in Spider-Man: There’s no way back home, Doctor Strange is ready to cast his spell right if you stop interrupting him. The sculpted head based on Benedict Cumberbatch it looks really good with shapely hair that also features graying at the temples.
Dr. Strange is obviously impeccably dressed and has his Cloak of Levitation ready to wear with a magnetic clip on design. He’s ready to cast spells with an LED light-up platform, Eye of Agamotto, colorful mystic arts effects and sling rings, plus interchangeable hands to recreate spell-casting scenes.
Normally I think the effects pieces for the characters look pretty cheesy, but I think these actually look good. I think it helps that Dr. Strange’s magical powers are always so stylized that they can translate well into the models. I’m impressed with all the various hands as well, Dr. Strange has many different hand positions for casting his spells and they seem to have done a good job of providing enough variety for you to pose him however you like.
You can still pre-order your ⅙ scale Dr. Strange figure for $315 from Sideshow after watching the unboxing video below.
