Melissa Joan Hart says she’s open to rebooting SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH

Actress Melissa Joan Hart has had several hit TV shows in his career, starting with Clarissa explains everything in the early 90s, then Sabrina the teenage witchwhich ran from 1996 to 2003. He then went on to star in Melissa & Joey, and has since starred in many Lifetime Christmas movies. A reboot of Clarissa explains everything it was in the works a few years ago, but has since fizzled out. Now, Hart says he’d be happy to return as Sabrina Spellman, the former teenage witch.

In a recent interview with the Associated Press (via ComingSoon), Hart was asked about the potential for a new Sabrina the teenage witch series, and she replied:

“The answer to the Sabrina reboot question is, unfortunately, I can’t just point my finger and make it happen. There is so much bureaucracy. Who owns it? Who would pay for it? What network would it be on?

Hart was then asked if she would be interested in making the series if that was a possibility, and she said:

“I’d be totally interested if that was the right way to do it. I feel like so many of these reboots have been wrong, so many have been rushed, so many have not been well thought out. And the thing is, sometimes it’s just that fans think they want it, but fanfiction is so much better.

I agree with Hart. I think some reboots just finished and don’t even stand a chance because the story isn’t strong enough. I loved his series Clarissa explains everythingso it sounds more attractive than a Sabrina series for me, but even then, you have to decide if the magic of the original series can be recovered and if the story will make sense now. If the writers can pull it off and the fan base is there, they should go for it.
