Jenna Ortega (‘Wednesday’) reveals her darkest side: “As a child, she did autopsies on animals”

In early reviews of the ‘Wednesday’ series, Jenna Ortega’s performance as the Addamses’ daughter was widely praised. Pop Culture Planet’s Kristen Maldonado said the actress was born to play Wednesday Addams. In recent interviews to promote the series, Ortega shed some light on why she’s so good at ghoulish characters…and that’s because she’s quite dark herself.

“I Love Creepy Things”, he says in an interview with The Face. The actress, who has played several characters in horror films like ‘Insidious Chapter 2’, ‘X’ and soon ‘Scream 6’, says this type of project and she “meet”. Ortega replied that they are great friends because “we’re so weird together.” However, he did make a distinction: while Ziegler was strange due to the gestures and movements she made when she performed, Ortega said that she herself was strange because as a child “I performed autopsies on animals, like little lizards I found dead in my garden”. Those are definitely two different ways of being weird, but if that makes her such a good actress…do we back her up?
