The week of Thanksgiving is upon us, and that means it’s time to spend some quality time with family or friends, eat a big meal, visit, and probably sit in front of the TV at some point. Lots of people watch football on and after Thanksgiving, as well as the 2022 FIFA World Cup, but if you’re not that much of a sports fan or if you’re looking to mix things up, I’ve got a few options for you.
-You can start your day with the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on CBS and NBC. With balloons of Bluey, Grogu, Goku, Pikachu, Snoopy, Boss Baby, Ryan’s World and Ada Twist Scientist, there’s something for everyone.

-The real crime series Welcome to Chippendales hero Kumail Nanjiani begins this Tuesday, November 22, on Hulu in the US (the series won’t premiere in the UK until January).

-If you like Will Ferrell, TNT is the right place. Beginning at 12 a.m. ET/PT, the network goes on the air Blades of Glory, Half brothers And Elf in succession, ending at 6:00 PM ET/PT.
-Comedy Central is doing a split day with the morning full of Seinfeld episodes and the afternoon airing The office.
-Wednesday you can take the classic John Candy movie The great outdoors And Planes, trains and cars on AMC a couple of times in a row.
-You can take last year’s one Saturday night live Thanksgiving special Wednesday night on NBC featuring the best holiday sketches of years.
-There will also be a brand new episode of America’s Funniest Home Videos on ABC on Thanksgiving night which will be dedicated to Thanksgiving.
-On Sunday, The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration at 8pm on ABC. Hosted by brother and sister duo Derek and Julianne Hough, this special filmed at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disneyland Resort in California. Run DMC, Jordin Sparks and Meghan Trainor are all set to perform some classic holiday tunes.
It’s the season: the holidays on screen at 8:00 pm on CNN. Holiday movie (The holiday, love in reality and the elf, to name a few of my favourites) are as much a part of getting in the spirit of the season as putting up a tree or sipping a Starbuck caramel latte brûlée. This show, produced by Tom Hanks, celebrates this genre of film and features interviews with celebrities, directors, producers, film critics to discuss why some holiday movies and TV shows are so special.
I hope this list gives you some options and you can hunker down and watch with your loved ones and a piece of cake. Happy Thanksgiving, from all of us at GeekTyrant!
