‘Criminal Minds’ Star Zach Gilford Reveals Revival ‘Going Home With UnSub’ For The First Time (Exclusive)

“Let’s go home with UnSub. I’ve been told before. They say we never went home with them. I’ve said this a few times already, but these monsters are human, and I don’t mean we’re sensitive to them. But they have to live a life,” Zach explained. “They can’t just kill, kill people all day, every day. They have jobs, have families, or all have parents. So who are they when they don’t do their mean thing? And how do they navigate between being a person in the world and being this monster in the shadows?

For Zach, joining the cast of Criminal minds waking up was child’s play for him. “I mean, when Criminal minds He asks you to be on his show, you say yes. It’s an incredible and iconic sight. I didn’t even know I had the fan base I had,” she said.

Criminal minds it originally closed in February 2020, just before the COVID-19 pandemic. The resurgence is happening in a post-pandemic world and has moved from CBS to Paramount+. “We love this world. But now we can do it a little differently. We’ve managed to elevate it a bit, and it’s great to participate in it. Being the unsub that they’ve been following all season… I mean, it sounds corny to say it’s an honor, but it really is.”

This is by far one of Zach’s darkest roles to date. He revealed his method of playing this role and every other role. “My preparation is, not because I’m lazy, it’s just because it’s my method, I read the script,” he said. hollywood life🇧🇷 “And I’m not saying this sarcastically, I read the script when I first received it. There are always changes. I reread it like the night before shooting. I can memorize lines very quickly, and then you discover a lot when you get on set. You’re really working with the director and the other actors.

He continued, “If you’ve made all your decisions before you get there, you’re not really a very thoughtful actor, because then you’re just navigating the scene and not allowing anyone else to contribute. What I love about this business is that it’s about collaboration. Everyone’s fingerprint is there, so I think I’m very lucky to work with writers who have thought about these characters in these arcs. They are so collaborative that whenever I come across something, they stop and say, “Let’s talk about it.” Let’s find out. We do better. And I feel like we always get there. It was very nice to work with him.”
