Marvel Studios halted filming on “Limitless” out of fear that Chris Hemsworth would commit suicide

‘Limitless’ has just premiered on Disney+, a documentary series starring Chris Hemsworth in which the actor takes on different challenges that make the most of his physique with the aim of discovering all the potential that the human body can achieve . Hemsworth, one of the main faces of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for his role as Thor, stated that Marvel Studios interfered in the production of “Without limits” due to the physical health in which the actor could arrive at the filming of “Thor: Love And Thunder”.

In an interview on the Jimmy Kimmel show, Hemsworth revealed that the filming of ‘Limitless’ and ‘Thor’, two projects starring him, were very close to each other and that his original idea was to record before ‘Without limits’, but An incident that the actor had caused Marvel Studios to intervene in a foreign project to ask him to focus on “Thor 4” first: “I said, ‘Great, we’re going to do this (let’s shoot ‘Limitless’) before we shoot ‘Thor.” So I started training, popped my ankle, and Marvel chimed in and said, ‘Nope. The show might kill it, you can shoot it after our movie'”.

Hemsworth’s injury occurred during a very intense stunt scene in which the actor had to climb to the top of a cable car using only a rope that dangled 30 meters below the cable car. In the same interview, Hemsworth talked about how the postponement of filming made ‘Limitless’ difficult to shoot due to the weight he gained preparing for ‘Love And Thunder’: “It was about time I got to shooting, I was at the end of ‘Thor’ and I was the physical size of Thor. My trainer looked at me and said, ‘You’re fucked. This is going to be the hardest thing you’ve ever done.'”

“Limitless”, a Disney+ original series in collaboration with National Geographic, aims to examine extreme athletes and push their bodies to the maximum possible limit. These aren’t just any tests, they’re physical and mental challenges designed by scientists and medical professionals to better understand the human body. Among some of the challenges facing Hemsworth are swimming 244 meters in 2-degree water from an arctic position, walking through a 275-meter-high crane or climbing a 30-meter rope in poor weather conditions. There are also fewer physical challenges like surviving on water for several days. What they all have in common is that Hemsworth took months of preparation, both physically and mentally.
