Telfaz11 from Saudi Arabia finds a new way to celebrate its namesake’s 11th birthday

Saudi Arabian film and digital content production and financing company Telfaz11 celebrated its 11th anniversary on Friday by announcing the start of shooting for its 11th feature film. night courier by Ali Al Kalthami.

Telfaz11, a leading player in Saudi Arabia’s YouTube space in the 2010s, quickly jumped into film production after the country’s cinema ban was lifted in late 2017, signing deals with Netflix and fast-growing local exhibitor Muvi to extend its grid financing from to knit.

The film was presented last December at the first edition of the Red Sea Film Festival’s project market, the Red Sea Souk. It is on a slate of four productions being developed by Telfaz11 in collaboration with Paris-based Easy Riders Films.

The lead role is played by Mohammed AlDokhi, who made his debut appearances in some of Telfaz11’s digital short productions.

The company is gearing up for this year’s release of three action-comedy feature films Sattar; dark comedy crow song, Saudi Arabia’s Oscar entry this year; and the satirical suspense comedy khallat+.

All three titles will be screened at the second edition of the Red Sea Film Festival, which will take place from December 1 to 10 in the Red Sea port of Jeddah.

khallat+A spin-off of a popular online show that has generated more than 1.5 billion online views will soon be released on Netflix.

Another upcoming Telfaz11 production coming out towards the end of the year is the documentary blue spirit about Saudi Arabia’s legendary football club Al Hilal.

“As we celebrate 11 incredible years since our founding, Telfaz11 continues to be at the forefront of another pivotal period of significant change in entertainment,” said Alaa Fadan, CEO and co-founder of Telfaz11.

“The regular launches of theaters and their increasing box office revenues provide valuable economic opportunities for local filmmakers and content creators, with Telfaz11 leading the way.”
