Daniel Kaluya (Get out, no) joined the voice cast of Sony Pictures Animation Spider-Man: Through the Spider-Versethe highly anticipated sequel to the incredible and visually fantastic Spider-Man: In the verse of the spider.
Kaluuya will be playing the role of Hobart “Hobie” Brown, aka Spider-Punk, so it’s going to be awesome! I was really hoping to see Spider-Punk in this sequel, so it’s going to be fun! A couple of months ago a piece of promotional art emerged that you can check out here.
The film follows Miles Morales as the friendly Brooklyn neighborhood Spider-Man, “immersed in the multiverse where he joins forces with Gwen Stacy and a new Spider-folk team to take on a more powerful villain than anything they’ve ever met.” . The film also includes 240 characters and will take place in 6 universes.
The rest of the cast includes Shameik Moore as miles; Oscar Isaac as Miguel O’Hara, aka Spider-Man 2099; Hailee Steinfeld like Gwen, Brian Tyree Henry as Miles’ father, Jefferson Davis; Luna Lauren Velez as Miles’ mom, Rio Morales; Issa Rae as Jessica Drew, aka Spider-Woman; Jorma Taccone as a vulture; Rachel Dratch; Shea Whigham; Greta Lee; And Jason Schwartzman like Spot.
The film is directed and produced by Justin K. Thompson, Joaquim Dos SantosAnd Powers of Kemp. Avi Arad, Amy Pascal, Phil Lord, Chris Miller And Cristina Steinberg they are also producing. Lord and Miller will also be credited as the film’s screenwriters, along with David Callaham.

The release of the film is currently scheduled for June 2, 2023, with a third episode, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Versealready dated March 29, 2024.
