RWBY: ARROWFELL gets the release date and a new trailer

WayForward has announced that their new RWBY: Arrowfall the game will officially release on November 15th on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and PC. Set shortly after Team RWBY became a licensed hunter in volume 7, Arrowfell will allow you to control Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiao Long as they battle hordes of Grimm and other enemies using their signature weapons and guise.

You’ll be able to instantly switch between characters as you explore locations on the icy continent of Solitas by solving puzzles, using items, earning power-ups and completing missions for characters such as Qrow, Winter, and Ace agents, as well as commoners while uncovering clues to a mysterious new technology.

New characters will play a major role in the story, including a new team of Slayers, Team BRIR with Bianca, Roane, Ivy and Ruda. The game features the vocal work of the original cast, a soundtrack by North Valleyand a brand new theme by Jeff Williams with the voice of Casey Lee Williams.

The new trailer looks a lot of fun. I think Rooster Teeth and WayForward’s team was a great match. The gameplay looks more fun and dynamic than what I’ve seen in previous RWBY games, I just wish more characters and teams could be playable characters. I really like the RWBY show, but I think games waste potential by just focusing on the main four.

I get it, they’re the protagonists, but I think when it comes to adding original canonical stories, focusing on the characters that have been in books like Team CFVY would be really fun. Just something to help expand the world without being so confined by the events of the show would be something worth doing.
