A new silent Hill the experience has been announced, Silent Hill: Ascension. This global event will put the new story and characters in the hands of the audience as the storytelling unfolds live across multiple platforms. Not much is known about it outside of this.
According to IGN: Jacob Navokthe CEO of Genvid (a streaming software tools company working on the game) revealed that Ascension is “a cloud streaming experiment based on narrative and branching choice.”
It is explained that Konami will “essentially stream, just once, choosing your adventure-style Silent Hill miniseries where the stream chat will collectively decide what happens, essentially letting the fan base create their own Silent Hill canon.” .
The decisions in the game are said to establish “the relationships of the characters, fate, whether they live or die, and so on”.
There’s a teaser trailer to accompany the announcement, but in true teaser style it reveals little about the series. It will air in 2023, will you participate?
