

Mystery movies with strong stories you shouldn’t watch if you’re sensitive – Netflix (courtesy)
We all go through bad times, alternate afternoons or any other situation that makes us more or less sensitive to certain problems. That is why it is not recommended to watch these detective films, because in their history, some of the strongest moments that could break anyone are hidden, and even more so if you are going through an emotionally delicate phase.
fires
Directed by Denis Villeneuve and starring Lubna Azabal, Melisa Desormeaux-Poulin, Maxim Gaudette and Rémy Girard, ‘fires’ is a drama film in which some heinous crimes are committed. The story is about the mission of two brothers who try to fulfill their mother’s last wish, bring a letter to the unknown father and brother they didn’t know they had. Available in Filmin.
Nocturnal animals
Tom Ford directs this detective film, with Amy Adams, Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Shannon and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. “Nocturnal Animals” is about an art curator, who one day receives the novel of her ex-boyfriend, which tells how a family of three is kidnapped by men on a highway, suffering a fatal fate. prisoners
From the same previous director, Denis Villeneuve, we have another one best detective movies’prisoners’, with a strong history with Jake Gyllenhaal, along with Hugh Jackman, Viola Davis and Paul Dano. He talks about two families whose daughters are kidnapped and the only suspect is a boy with mental problems. Available on Amazon Prime Video.
Irreversible
For many who have already seen it, ‘Irreversible’, by Gaspar Noe, with Monica Belluci and Vincent Cassel, is a detective and drama film that you shouldn’t see anyway, much less if you are sensitive. It’s about a woman who is sexually abused in the corridor of a metrobus. Her ex boyfriend and her lover join forces to take revenge on the one who committed such a terrible act.
lost girls
Acclaimed documentary filmmaker Liz Garbus directs this detective film starring Amy Ryan and Thomasin McKenze in ‘Lost Girls. The true story of an activist’s pursuit of justice in the Long Island prostitute murders. Available on Netflix.
Fox catcher
Finally, and another based on real events, such as ‘Foxcatcher’, directed by Bennet Miller and starring Steve Carrell, Mark Ruffalo and Channing Tatum. The story is a portrait of John du Pont, Olympic champion and billionaire who recruited Dave, for the American wrestler group at the Olympics, and due to a conflict of interest, the coach lost patience.
