With Sony’s Spider-Man universe advancing with every step, “Madame Web” becomes one of Marvel’s most mysterious and anticipated films. Now the first images of the villain in the story have leaked, which will be Ezekiel Sims, a character who in the comics has powers very similar to those of Peter Parker, and who could be a new variant of Spider-Man.
Thanks to the different voices, ‘web lady’ it could be a story like ‘terminator’, in which Cassandra Web and other Spider-Girls try to stop a multiverse threat from preventing the birth of Peter Parker, who will eventually become Spider-Man. That’s why the fact that leaks indicate that Uncle Ben would appear, as well as Mary and Richard Parker, Peter’s parents, aren’t that far-fetched.
From the recording set of ‘web lady’ The first images of Tahar Rahim as Ezekiel Sims have been leaked, a clone of Peter Parker, and who was seen disguised as this variant of Spider-Man, leaving him in the air. Tahar’s design is very similar to his character in the Marvel comics, an old man with a suit, bare feet and a green shirt underneath.
In the comics, Ezekiel Sims was an enemy and ally of Spiderman, since their powers are quite similar, like climbing walls, which they have obtained through rituals, and not from the bite of a spider. More details on how the villain fits into the “Madame Web” storyline, starring Sydney Sweeney, Dakota Johnson, Isabela Merced, and Celeste O’Conner, are unknown.
Who is Ezekiel Sims from “Madame Web”?
At first, Sims was Peter Parker’s mentor, helping him on his missions, then betraying him and ultimately sacrificing himself for Spider-Man. Eventually, Ezekiel Sims takes Spider-Man’s place on Earth-4, after the wall-crawler died from his confrontation with this character, forcing Sims to become his universe hero.
In another video, Tahar Rahim can be seen leaving a subway in New York, the same place where Dakota Johnson, Sydney Sweeney, Isabela Merced and Celeste O’Conner could also be seen. Which suggests it could be persecution.
Additionally, other images also showed Rahim in a fairly Spider-Man-like costume battling heroines in a scene that takes place over what appears to be a bridge. Sony apparently wants to use both of Ezekiel Sims’ motives, the villain and the hero, in the same film. “Madame Web” will debut on February 16, 2024.
