Many of the critics have commented that, despite having a strong start, Gordon Green’s film ends up wanting to be framed in a metaphorical journey into Michael Myers’ nature of evil, which ends to be boring and even ridiculouswith ridiculously embarrassing moments that could have been erased altogether.

It’s an attempt to connect this slasher franchise with a deeper contemplation of the nature of evil, which creates ridiculously embarrassing moments in all the wrong places. ”-Brian Lowry, CNN.com

Others, for example, cited the work of Gordon Green’s writing team, to whom they said they don’t finish giving the film’s story a spin, with lots of unnecessary or superfluous subplots and characters, which do not contribute to the film. It seems that among the various hands that have written the script, they have not finished agreeing on which or what would be the leitmotif of all the ‘Halloween Ends’.

Halloween Ends seems to have too many writers at the keyboard, juggling too many unnecessary subplots, themes and characters. “- David Lewis, San Francisco Chronicle

On the other hand, among the positive comments, more than one did not stop praising Jamie Lee Curtis’ work in the role of Laurie Strode, calling it a brilliant and passionate performance, worthy of the talent of the actress. Being one of the points, or the strong point, of the whole film. On the other hand, there are also those who said it is the best Halloween movie outside the original movie.

Curtis is the brightest star here and he makes his character proud. ”- Allison Rose, Flick Direct
