James Wan produced another new wild horror movie titled M3GAN, which is a techno-thriller centered around a robotic doll who begins to scare people and kill them. I saw this trailer earlier this year and I think it looks like a funny movie that will drive some people crazy.
The film is directed by Gerard Johnstonewho directed the Australian horror film Bound in the houseand the script comes from Akela Cooper (Evil, the nun 2). Here is the synopsis:
M3GAN is a marvel of artificial intelligence, a lifelike doll programmed to be a child’s greatest companion and a parent’s greatest ally. Designed by the brilliant robotics of toy company Gemma (Allison Williams of Get Out), M3GAN can listen, watch and learn as she becomes friend and teacher, playmate and protector, for the child she is attached to.
When Gemma suddenly becomes the caretaker of her 8-year-old orphaned granddaughter, Cady (Violet McGraw, The Haunting of Hill House), Gemma is insecure and unprepared to become a mother. Under intense pressure at work, Gemma decides to pair her M3GAN prototype with Cady in an effort to solve both problems, a decision that will have unimaginable consequences.
Allison Williams (Get out, perfection) both the stars and the executive producers of the film. The film is also the protagonist Ronny Chieng (Shang-Chi and the legend of the ten rings), Brian Jordan Alvarez (Will and grace), Jen Van Epps (Cowboy Bebop), Lori Dungey (The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, extended edition), And Stephane Garneau-Monten (Simple).
The film will be released in theaters on January 13, 2023.
