A few weeks ago, Warner Bros. Discovery confirmed it would be making a sequel to “Constantine” starring Keanu Reeves, which meant Matt Ryan’s project for HBO Max was canceled. Since then, fans of Neil Gaiman’s creation have been thrilled to learn that there would be more to the universe of angels and demons, and will now be happy to know that Tilda Swinton could return as Gabriel.
The rumors began to spread on social media that Tilda Swinton was in talks with Warner Bros to return ‘Constantine 2’like Gabriel, as reported by Small Screens. And, as if that weren’t enough, the insider, Daniel Ritchman, has confirmed that, in fact, the acclaimed actress of “The Chronicles of Narnia” will join the cast of the next sequel.
Many of the fans of the 2005 film agree on this Tilda Swinton as the angel Gabriel was the best part ‘Constantine’, leaving behind even the protagonist of the plot himself, Keanu Reeves. There are also those who say that if she doesn’t get the final role, the tape “won’t be the same” without her participation.
Until now, Warner hasn’t confirmed that Tilda Swinton will appear ‘Constantine 2 ‘, so at the moment it remains a rumor. However, fans of the original film were very happy with the original cast and want to see them return for the sequel, as Peter Stormare’s Lucifer and Shia LaBeouf’s Sam.
All that is known so far about ‘Costantino 2’
So far, ‘Constantine 2’ has confirmed the return of Keanu Reeves as the protagonist and Francis Lawrence again as the director of the sequel. The announcement was mostly well received by fans of the character, while some criticized Warner and DC for giving Reeves a chance before Henry Cavill and the second Man of Steel movie.
“Constine 2” will arrive 17 years after the premiere of the first part, although it is not the first time the franchise has been reprized, Keanu Reeves has clarified that on several occasions he has presented to Warner some ideas to continue with the saga, which in the end were abandoned or paused. With the premiere of ‘The Sandman’ it seems that interest in the character has given the opportunity to continue with the sequel.
No further details on ‘Constantine 2′ with Keanu Reeves have been provided at the moment, so it remains to be seen how the plot of the first part will continue, as well as the release date of this long-awaited sequel to one of DC Comics’ most beloved characters.
